WHITETAIL TOUR SET FOR SALEM
The National Rifle Association has teamed up with nationally-known whitetail deer expert Dick Idol to offer an NRA Whitetail Tour clinic at the Salem Civic Center Feb. 4. This is the fifth in a series of 15 hunter clinics from New Hampshire to Florida.They will feature the Legendary Whitetail Collection, composed of trophy heads that include typical and non-typical archery world records, state records and the "Hole in the Horn" mount, one of the best known racks in the country.
Idol will share hunting strategies that include pattering bucks, pre-season scouting and rattling techniques.
The three-hour clinic begins at 6:45 p.m., with registration starting at 5:30. The program is free to NRA-life members and to participants who join the organization or renew their membership. Non-NRA members may attend for a $10 fee.
