Mrs. Iva Valerie Hill LaPrad, age 93, of Roanoke died Sunday, January 26, 1992, in a local nursing home. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edith L. Hobbs, Roanoke; one foster daughter, Mrs. Rita W. Williams, Roanoke; one brother, Mr. Herman T. Hill, Salem; one sister, Mrs. Ruth H. Phlegar, Salem; one grandson, Jack Hobbs, Roanoke; two great-grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; and six foster great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel with Elder Leonard Brammer officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends between 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m. Monday at Lotz Salem Chapel.
