SEWELL, ALFRED R.

Alfred Ray Sewell, age 88, of Salem, died Monday in a Galax hospital. He was preceded in death by two sons, Sherman Stuart Sewell, Alfred Wade Sewell. He is survived by his wife, Grace Alls Sewell; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Marden and Louise H. Sewell, Floyd Co.; two daughters-in-law, Annie J. Sewell and Geraldine R. Sewell; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 29 at 12:00 noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Mr. Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery in Montgomery County. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
