Alease Atkinson Gray, age 87, of Route 1, Vinton, passed away Monday in a local hospital. She was the widow of Emory L. (Buck) Gray. She was a member of Rebecca Harmony Lodge #36 of Stewartsville for greater than 40 years. Surviving are two sons, Clarence H. Gray, Bedford; Cofer L. Gray, Goode; two sisters, Geniece A. Foster, Route 1, Thaxton; Zona A. St.Clair, Vinton; two brothers, Horace W. Atkinson and Forrest B. Atkinson, both of Route 1, Vinton; one brother-in-law, John K. Powers, Goodview; three grandchildren; Gary W. Gray, Stafford E. Gray, Ramona L. Seay; three great-grandchildren, and a dear friend/daughter who gave more than could be expected. Funeral services will be held, 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 1992 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. William J. Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
