McGHEE, ORVILLE T. JR.Orville Taylor McGhee Jr., age 82, of 3274 Rasmont Road, SW, died Monday, January 27, 1992 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Calvary Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. and was a retired signal supervisor for the Shenandoah Div. of the N & W Railway for forty-eight years. Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Edrie C. McGhee; one son, Ty McGhee, Richmond; two daughters, Jan Butowicz, Virginia Beach; Pat Caverly, Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren, Tim Caverly, Courtney Butowicz; four sisters, Maude Blackwell, Josephine Huddleston, both of Chamblissburg; Marie Boothe, Hardy; Edna Whorley, St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services at Oakey's South Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Lee Chattin officiating. Interment will be in the Parrish Chapel Cemetery in Chamblissburg. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Hospice of Roanoke Memorial or the Cave Spring Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
