BYERS, ALFRED L.

Alfred Lee (Johnny) Byers, age 67, of Hollins Mobile Home Park, died Tuesday, January 28, 1992. He is survived by one son, Walter Douglas Byers, Staunton; five sisters, Virginia Mae Bryant, Hagerstown, Md.; Verna Frances Johnston, Waynesboro; Lillian Brooks, Winston-Salem, N.C.; Alphia Jean Tinsley, Staunton; Billie Joyce Sawyer, Virginia Beach; two granddaughters; brother-in-law, Robert Sollars, Roanoke. A memorial service will be held from Oakey's North Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, with the Rev. Emory N. Tarpley, Sr. officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour before service.
