BIGGS, MAMIE D.Mamie Dooley Biggs, age 64, of Route 1, passed away Monday, January 27, 1992, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 11, 1927, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late John Loving Dooley and Doshie Mae Overstreet Dooley. She was a member of the Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her husband, Houston L. Biggs; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Carolyn Biggs, Bedford; five daughters and sons-in-law, Minnie and Claude Handy, Kay and Charles Goff, Fay and Tommy Dooley, Denise and Dion Pryor, all of Bedford; Peggy Austin and Jerry Bolen, Roanoke; two sisters, Zaida Welch, Montvale; Mary Porter, Bedford; William Dooley, Vinton; Emmett Dooley, Roanoke; a dear friend, Lizzie Parker, Thaxton; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 30, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, by the Rev. Earl Ragland and the Rev. Ballard Shepherd. Interment will be in the Montvale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
