CUTSHALL, MARGARET M.Margaret McGuire Cutshall, age 97, of Roanoke, died Tuesday in South Roanoke Nursing Home. She was the widow of Robert Cutshall, a member of First Presbyterian Church, and a volunteer worker in civic, religious, and educational fields. Mrs. Cutshall was named the Unsung Virginian for 1980. The award is given annually to an individual who has devoted his or her life to improving conditions for others but who has not sought or received public recognition. She was a former Sunday School teacher and tutor to foreign medical students. Mrs. Cutshall helped numerous underprivileged and handicapped persons and was a supporter of Goodwill Industries, First Presbyterian Church, and the International Mission of the Presbyterian Church of the U.S. through the McGuire Foundation. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. John Waldrop, Forest, Va.; and Mrs. Jerry Rhees, Elizabeth City, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Thursday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with The Rev. James Beverly and Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the RAM House, Goodwill Industries or the City Rescue Mission. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
