GARNER, EDYTHE S.

Edythe Sayers Garner, age 66, of Rt. 1, Wirtz, died Tuesday, January 28, 1992. She was a retired Registered Nurse. Surviving are her husband, Ridley M. Garner; four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda G. and David M. Lamkin, Fort Worth, Texas; June G. and Larry T. Ansell, Virginia Beach; Lisa G. and Charles W. Pinnell, III, Gina G. and Ersell D. Carrow, Jr., all of Chesapeake; her mother, Zula Turner Sayers, Rocky Mount; one brother and sister-in-law, James T. and Lena Sayers, Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; a nephew, W. Marshall Poff, Salem; a niece, Cindy Sayers, Orlando, Fla. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel Thursday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Dixon officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Jefferson Hospital Alumni Association, c/o Phyllis K. McCollie, 596A Lakemont Dr., Roanoke, Va. 24018; or Franklin Memorial Hospital. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
