Mrs. Ellen J. Phifer Jones, age 85, of Baltimore, Md. and formerly of Roanoke, Va. died Friday, January 24, 1992. Funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Melrose Ave. Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elder Edgar Jackson officiating with burial in Williams Memorial Park. The family will meet at the residence of Mrs. Marie Phifer, 2310 Orange Ave., N.W. Friends may call at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home, Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
