LEBANON COASTS PAST RURAL RETREAT
Lebanon used an early scoring spurt to take control, then coasted to a 61-36 victory over Rural Retreat in Hogoheegee District boys' basketball on Wednesday night.Lebanon outscored Rural Retreat 18-2 in the first four minutes.
Lebanon (10-1 overall, 7-0 in the district) substituted its starting lineup midway through the first quarter and played them again sparingly during the third. \

MARION - Eddie Boothe scored 31 points and the Scarlett Hurricane (13-2) used its strong inside game for a non-district victory over the Maroons (9-6).
Boothe, marion's center, also had 12 rebounds. Eric Hungate had 15 points, seven assists and seven rebounds for Marion (13-2).
George Wythe was led by Chris Waddell and Sie Dickinson with 14 points each.
\ Tuesday's game
\ James River 61, Parry McCluer 47: At Buchanan, Solan Wooden scored of eight of his 15 points in the second quarter when the Knights took control of their Pioneer District victory over the Fightin' Blues.
Leading 8-5 after a quarter, James River (8-5, 8-4) outscored Parry McCluer 23-9 in the second.
Wooden was 7-for-8 on field-goal attempts. Ryan Shotwell scored 13 points, and Jody Steger and Tony Thompson added 10 points each for the Knights.
Parry McCluer (5-7, 4-6) got a game-high 25 points from Leslie Grey. Only three other Blues scored.
