ACCOUNTANT THROWS HAT INTO VINTON COUNCIL RING
Joseph L. Bush Jr. has announced his candidacy for one of two seats on Vinton Town Council.
A certified public accountant, Bush graduated from William Byrd High School and holds a master's degree in business administration from Radford University.
He is on the board of directors for the Vinton Chamber of Commerce and Vinton Lions Club, is an officer for the Vinton Dogwood Festival and serves in several other Roanoke and Vinton organizations.
The May election also will see the Vinton mayor's seat up for vote. Mayor Charles Hill and council incumbents Robert Altice and Ray Sandifer are seeking re-election.
