STATON, DAISY B.

Daisy Bell Staton, age 82, died Thursday, January 30 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born October 17, 1909 in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Leatha Station Tomlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Staton. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Roy Lee Humphreys; Shirley and Leonard Humphries; Peggy and Ray Humphries, all of Buena Vista; Lorene and Bill Tomlin, Richmond; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Margaret Staton, Jr., Louisa; and Walter T. and Eleanor Staton, Richmond; two sisters, Josie L. Tomlin, Lynchburg; and Lockie Tomlin, Charlottesville; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 1992, from the Oronoco Brethren Church with the Rev. Arnold Bradley officiating, assisted by the Rev. Frank Figgers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends form 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Lomax Funeral Home.
