DAWSON, MARY P.

Mary Etta Pruitt Dawson, age 73, formerly of Richlands, died Thursday, January 30, 1992 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born May 29, 1918 in W. Va. and was the daughter of the late James Albert and Nannie Jane Vance Pruitt. She was a retired nurse and a member of the First Baptist Church of Richlands. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Lee Dawson and one son, Linton Dawson. She is survived by two daughters, Dee Dawson Fuller, Lexington; Phyllis Dawson Mercer, Brea, Calif.; one sister, Oma Lowe, Pulaski; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Saturday, 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Thomas G. Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Lexington First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
