4 SUSPENDED TERMS GIVEN FOR MOONSHINE

Four Wythe County men have received suspended one-year sentences for conspiring to make illegal alcohol.

Lawrence Sylvester, 50, of Wytheville, and Randall Chandler, 36; Roger D. Tibbs, 39, and Edward Sylvester, 56, all of Rural Retreat, were convicted Tuesday in Wythe County Circuit Court.

Tibbs had a second one-year sentence, also suspended, for possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony.
