LOWE RETURNING TO BRIDGEWATER

After 16 years of coaching football, Max W. Lowe will return to his alma mater as head coach of the Bridgewater College team, school president Wayne F. Geisert announced Thursday.

Lowe, one of 93 applicants, will begin Saturday.

Lowe succeeds Dan Antolik, who asked Dec. 10 that his contract not be renewed for next season.

Lowe, 37, is a 1976 graduate of Bridgewater.

He was an assistant coach at Brookville High School in Lynchburg last fall.

Lowe has been an assistant at four Division I universities: Bowling Green, Ohio University, Maine and North Carolina. - Associated Press
