PULASKI EQUALIZATION BOARD PLANS HEARINGS
The Pulaski County Board of Equalization has scheduled three meetings to hear complaints of errors on property reassessments.The board will be at the National Guard armory Feb. 10, 3-6 p.m.; and Feb. 11 and 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Property owners wishing to appeal reassessments should call 980-7758 for appointments to avoid a long wait. Those who come without appointments will be heard as quickly as possible.
After receiving oral or written complaints of lack of uniformity in assessments or errors in acreage, the board will increase, decrease or affirm reassessments.
Property owners also can file an application for relief by calling 980-7758 or by sending notification by mail by Feb. 17 to Pulaski County Board of Equalization, P.O. Box 566, Pulaski 24301.
The board is to complete disposition of all applications by March 16.
Property owners contesting reassessments already have met with representatives of Wingate Appraisal Service, hired for the county reassessment. Notices of decisions to either change or not change contested appraisals should be mailed by Saturday.
