CANCER GROUP SETS `BID FOR BACHELORS'
The Radford-Montgomery County unit of the American Cancer Society will sponsor its fifth annual "Bid for Bachelors" Feb. 15 at the Blacksburg Holiday Inn.
A social hour with free hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bidding on the date packages arranged by 20 participating bachelors will begin after the social.
Participants must be 21 years old. Drivers will be available to help with transportation following the event.
Advance discount tickets are available for $7 from the bachelors and at the Holiday Inn. Tickets purchased at the door Feb. 15 are $10.
Proceeds from the auction support the organization's efforts to fight cancer through research, education and service to cancer patients.
