JOINT PSA DISCOVERS LANDFILL WILL BE COSTLY

A joint public service authority for Wythe and Bland counties is finding that a new landfill for the two localities will mean big bucks.

The estimated landfill construction cost is $2.7 million. The authority prepared a 1992-93 budget Thursday night including $45,000 for a full-time director and $2,700 for a part-time secretary.

Landfill development costs will be divided between the two counties, with Wythe paying 79.6 percent and Bland 20.4 percent.
