TICKLE ANNIVERSARY

Billy Warren and Mary Lizzie Tickle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Scrooge's Restaurant on November 29, hosted by their children. Afterwards they were honored with a surprise reception at the home of their daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Mark Vestich. Their children also treated them to a three-day trip to Nashville, Tennessee which included staying at Opryland Hotel, a dinner cruise on the General Jackson, a visit to the Grand Ole Opry, and a historical tour of Nashville where they saw homes of several famous country stars. Mr. and Mrs. Tickle reside in Bland, Virginia, and they have four children, Rita Roberts, Bill Dave Tickle, Jerry Tickle, Sarah Vestich; and eight grandchildren. The couple were married November 22, 1941, at the Presbyterian Manse, Bland, Va., by the Reverend M.D. Newton.
