CALE, EDWARD E., JR.Dr. Edward Evelle Cale Jr., M.D., passed away Friday, January 31, 1992, at Radford Community Hospital. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Radford. He was a graduate of Auburn University, Tulane Medical School, and he received his specialty accreditation in psychiatry in 1949. He was a retired psychiatrist of St. Albans Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served as a Lt. Commander for five years, three of those five in the South Pacific during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Dolores Orzada Cale, Radford; two sons, Edward E. Cale III, Seattle, Wash.; Frederic Charles Cale, Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Maryanne) McGuire, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Richard (Sylvia L.) Beeman, Manhattan, Kansas; one brother, Dr. Robert T. Cale, Bessemer, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. W.D. (Mary L.) Cosper, Birmingham, Ala.; and ten grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at West View Cemetery in Radford. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Radford with the Rev. George L. Ducker officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to The Presbyterian Church of Radford Sanctuary Improvement Fund or to the Radford Public Library Building Fund.
