FOXX, FERRUM WRECK GREENSBORO 108-89

Everett Foxx scored 35 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Saturday as Ferrum defeated Dixie Conference foe Greensboro 108-89, its fourth consecutive basketball victory.

Foxx was 12-of-28 from the field, including 5-of-14 from 3-point range.

Before the game, Foxx was presented the ball from last Wednesday's game, when he became the school's all-time leading scorer.

Cory White led Greensboro (8-11 overall, 2-3 Dixie) with 24 points, and Darryl Harris had 18 and Brad Apple 15.

Mike Robertson had 15 points and 17 rebounds for Ferrum (13-5, 4-1). Albert Hobbs added 14 points, Quincy Quick 11 and Jerry Scarborough 10.

The Panthers outrebounded the Hornets by 16, took 27 more shots from the field and 18 more from the free-throw line. Greensboro committed 22 turnovers to Ferrum's eight.

The Panthers play host to Averett on Wednesday night in what could be a battle for first place in the conference.
