ROANOKE CATHOLIC RIPS CHATHAM HALL GIRLS

Roanoke Catholic held host Chatham Hall scoreless in the second quarter and cruised to a 53-20 non-conference girls' basketball victory Saturday night.

Roanoke Catholic led 9-8 after a quarter, then went to a man-to-man defense that baffled Chatham Hall. The Celtics led 24-8 at halftime and outscored Chatham Hall 29-12 in the second half.

Jackie Hinman led all scorers with 14 points, eight in the second quarter, for Roanoke Catholic (11-2). Abby Dickson added 12 and Shannon Simpson had 10.
