FIRE DAMAGES CARS, BUILDING AT DEALER'S
A 1960s-model Camaro valued at $20,000 was destroyed in a fire Sunday afternoon at Virginia Interstate Auto Brokers, 3514 Shenandoah Ave. N.W. Total damage to six cars and a building at the used car dealership was estimated at $45,000.Roanoke's District 2 Fire Chief James Patton said the fire began when a car under repair slipped off a jack and a gasoline tank exploded. The worker working on the car was not injured. "He was lucky," Patton said.
