HARTLESS, ESTHER

Esther Hartless, age 64, of Salem, died Monday. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Hartless. She is survived by her husband, George Hartless; daughters, Valerie Yates, N.C.; Kathy Mitchell, Salem; Karen Morris and Judy Smith, both of Atlantic, Ga.; a son, Nathan Hartless, Salem; a sister, Edith Butler, Salem; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with Mr. Jim Herron, Mr. Scott Taylor and Mr. Roy Miller officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Hospice of New River Valley, 1806 Prices Fork Rd., Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
