HUBBARD, WILLIE M.
Willie Moorman Hubbard, 96, of Route 2, died Sunday, February 2,1992 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County April 22, 1895, a son of the late John William Hubbard and Priscilla Wilson Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Thomas Hubbard. He was a retired farmer, a member of Morgans Baptist Church, and a 72 year member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #244 at Moneta. He is survived by his two daughter, Mrs. Artis R. (Mary Frances) Thomas, Roanoke; Mrs. J. Ray (Priscilla) Blankenship, Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Vickie Rae Morris, Rustburg; three grandsons, Michael R. Thomas, Roanoke; Mark A. Thomas, Sterling, Va.; Gary W. Blankenship, Lynchburg; one great-grandson, Tyler Morris, Rustburg. Funeral services will be conducted at Morgans Baptist Church, Wednesday, February 5, 1992 at 11:0 a.m. with the Revs. Charles A. Hoffler, Alfred Duncan, Thomas Speight officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Friends may call anytime at Carder-Tharp Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
