`VOICES' PERFORMANCE AT RADFORD
"Voices," a collaboration between Margaret Devaney and Anna Fariello, will be performed Tuesday at 5 and 7 p.m. in Preston Hall at Radford University. The work combines dance with text and a site-specific installation involving slides and video images.
The text, read by Fariello, is drawn from the diaries of writer Anais Nin and other sources. Fariello's photographs of angels and mourning figures from cemetery tombstones are part of the installation.
The attitudes of the tombstone figures are reflected in movement by Devaney and a company of student dancers.
Devaney is head of the dance department at Radford, and Fariello is director of galleries.
Tickets are $3 for the general public. They can be reserved by calling (703) 831-5420.
