A bonfire, battle of the bands and a basketball doubleheader highlight Radford University's third annual Winter Weekend on Feb. 21-22.
On Feb. 21, a 6:30 p.m. bonfire on Moffett Field precedes a spirit bash and a "Battle of the Bands" at 7 p.m. in Heth Ballroom. Admission to the band competition is $2 with Radford ID, $3 for others.
On Feb. 22, more than 60 alumni will return to campus for "Career Exploration Day" to discuss their professional experiences with Radford students, noon-2:30 p.m.
Former resident directors and assistants will have a reunion in the Washington Hall lounge at 3 p.m.
At 4 p.m., the Lady Highlanders play Winthrop, followed by the men's basketball game against Davidson at 7:30 p.m. During halftime of the men's game, the Athletic Association and New River Nissan will give away a 1992 Nissan NX and the Snow Queen will be crowned. For game tickets, call 831-5228.
