EX-W&M KICKER SIGNS WITH BILLS TO BATTLE NORWOOD

The Buffalo Bills didn't wait long to bring in someone to battle Scott Norwood for the team's place-kicking duties, signing former Tampa Bay kicker Steve Christie off Plan B.

By signing Christie, whom coach Marv Levy called "a premier kicker in the NFL," the Bills have lined up some strong competition for Norwood, Buffalo's place-kicker the past eight seasons.

Christie kicked in college for William and Mary.

Norwood, who kicked at James Madison University, wasn't available for comment.

\ Dwaine Board and Eric Wright, part-time coaching assistants for the San Francisco 49ers last year, were promoted to full-time positions. Board, a former Franklin County High School standout, was an assistant to defensive line coach John Marshall the past two years. Wright will assist defensive backs coach Jeff Fisher.
