CZECHOSLOVAKIA AWAITS ITS FIRST MCDONALD'S

McDonald's will open its first restaurant in Czechoslovakia next month, news reports said.

The first outlet will be in downtown Prague. A total of 100 are expected to open throughout the country over the next 15 years, the reports said Wednesday.

A regular hamburger will sell for about 22 Czechoslovak crowns, the equivalent of 80 cents.

The restaurant's approximately 250 employees will be paid in line with Czechoslovak salary scales. The average monthly wage is 3,500 crowns, about $125.
