DRS. WILLIAM WATSON PASLEY and JAMES MICHAEL VASCIK of Roanoke recently became fellows of the American College of Surgeons.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved medical school, have completed advanced training in one of the 13 surgical specialties recognized by the college and have practiced at the same location for at least two years.

They must further demonstrate ethical conduct and good character and must be approved by three-fourths of the college's board of regents.

Pasley is a gynecologist, and Vascik is a neurosurgeon.

\ CHARLES B. HILL, formerly of Roanoke, has joined the firm of T. Rowe Price Associates in Baltimore as assistant vice president of municipal bond trading.

\ WILLIAM DAVID NEELEY has been promoted to communications officer in corporate operations and technology at C&S Sovran Corp. He works at the Western Operations Center on Airport Road.

Neeley is in charge of installation and maintenance of computer and telephone systems in the Western and Mountain regions and parts of the Skyline and Southside regions for Sovran Bank Consumer, Commercial and Trust Division and for C&S/Sovran Mortgage Corp.

\ JESSE FIELDS has been named the agent in charge of Salem and Montgomery County for Bedford Mutual Insurance Co.

Fields, a Salem resident, has more than 30 years experience in the insurance business.

\ DAVID W. AMOS and DAWN K. FREEMAN recently completed a two-week course at the IDS Financial Services Learning Center in Minneapolis, qualifying them as accredited personal financial planners.
