FREE CHILD SAFETY SEAT INSPECTIONS PLANNED
The District 2 Community Traffic Safety Board will hold free child safety seat inspections next week to help parents learn to install car seats correctly.
Trained staff from Roanoke-area hospitals, law-enforcement agencies, rescue squads and the Department of Motor Vehicles will conduct the inspections and answer questions about safety seats.
Inspections, which take about 15 minutes, will be from 4-6:30 p.m. each day, according to the following schedule:
Monday - Cave Spring Rescue Squad, Brambleton Avenue.
Tuesday - Fort Lewis Rescue Squad, West Main Street, Salem.
Wednesday - Vinton Rescue Squad, Jackson Street.
Feb. 13 - Hollins Rescue Squad, Barrens Road.
Feb. 14 - Mount Pleasant Rescue Squad, Jae Valley Road.
