TECH GETS VOLLEYBALL RECRUITS

Virginia Tech volleyball coach Stephanie Hawbecker started her first recruiting class by signing two recruits Thursday.

Hilary Love, a 5-7 setter from Burris High School in Muncie, Ind., helped her team to a 38-1 season and No. 7 ranking by USA Today/Mizuno after finishing No. 1 a year earlier.

Jennifer Arbuckle, 5-10 middle blocker from Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, led her team to the Western District and Group AAA Northwestern region titles last year. She is the only player from Virginia on the Hokies' roster. - Staff report
