SOUTHSIDE GARDEN CLUB INSTALLS OFFICERS

Mrs. R.Q Cannell has been installed as president of the Southside Garden Club.

Other officers are Mrs. R.L. Simpson, vice president; Mrs. R.H. Baker, recording secretary; and Mrs. John Muench, treasurer.

Mrs. Cannell and Mrs. R.W. Hendricks received blue ribbons for artistic designs. They and Mrs. Jerald Robinson also received blue ribbons for horticultural specimens.

Club members also were told that the Blue Ridge District Garden Club meeting will be held at Roanoke's Tanglewood Holiday Inn April 6. Reservations must be made by March 20.
