NPR CORRESPONDENT AT VA. TECH THURSDAY

Linda Gradstein, Jerusalem correspondent for National Public Radio, will speak Thursday at Virginia Tech. Her topic will be "Israel's Image in the Media: From the Gulf War Hero to Obstacle to Peace."

She will discuss how and why Israel's image has changed in the past year. Gradstein will allow time to answer questions about her topic and about being a woman journalist in Israel.

She will be speaking in the auditorium of the Donaldson Brown Center at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The program is co-sponsored by the Young Democrats, Hillel, Virginia Tech Union, the Department of Communication Studies, the Department of History, the International Student Program, the Blacksburg Jewish Community Center and the Roanoke Jewish Community Council.
