GORDON, EARNEST E.

Earnest E. Gordon, age 71, of 1747 Victoria St., Salem, passed away Thursday. He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Gordon DeWeese, Callaway; two sons, Dennis Ray Gordon, Rocky Mount; Luther David Gordon, Roanoke; four sisters, Lillie Bolt, Ethel Haygood, Thelma Messer, all of Salem; Bernice Smith, Roanoke; six brothers, Earl Gordon, Everett Gordon, Carl Gordon, Ed Gordon, Marvin Gordon, all of Salem; Frank Gordon, Thaxton; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Ira Tolliver officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at the funeral home.
