BRYANT, DOLLIE J.

Dollie Jane Bryant, age 93, of Route 3, Pleasant Grove Community, Martinsville, died Friday, February 7, 1992 at Stanleytown Health Care Center in Bassett. She was born in Patrick County on December 18, 1898 to the late Charles Richard Bryant and Nancy Ann Akers Bryant. She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She is survived by two nieces, Fern Bryant, Roanoke; Betty Ann Grogan Cassady, Martinsville; two great-nephews and three great nieces. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Rosa E. Bryant, Clementine Bryant, Betty Bryant Grogan, Mary Ann Bryant, and Julia Bryant Hylton. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas E. Bryant and Charles P. Bryant. The funeral service will be be held at Collins Funeral Chapel in Bassett, Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Leonard Brammer officiating with burial following in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Collins Chapel.
