ROANOKE STREAK IN ODAC SNAPPED BY E&H SURGE
Emory & Henry rallied in the second half to topple 12th-ranked Roanoke 57-52 in women's basketball and end the Maroons' 48-game regular season Old Dominion Athletic Conference winning streak.Roanoke had not lost a regular-season conference game in nearly three years. The Wasps defeated Roanoke on Feb. 11, 1989.
The Maroons (15-3, 9-1) led 29-23 at halftime, but Emory & Henry (6-10, 4-5) came back behind guard Cathy Durham, who finished with a game-high 19 points.
Jennifer Jones scored 12 points, Amy Saunders 11 and Kay Caldwell 11 for Roanoke, which shot less than 35 percent from the field. \
