DUFF-SHULL
Doris Eileen Shull and William Delaney Duff were married February 1, 1992,
in Oak Grove Church of the Brethren with Rev. Jerry Naff officiating. The
reception was held at Oak Grove. The matron of honor was Mrs. Charlotte R.
Strain, a friend. The bridesmaids were Beth A. Duff, sister of the groom, and
Kathy B. Stump, a friend. The flowergirl was Sarah J. Strain. Father of the
groom, Homer D. Duff, was best man. The ushers were R. Alan Shull, brother of
the bride, and David Danco, a friend. The ringbearer was Todd L. Jordan. The
guestbook was attended by Sally Woody of Rocky Mount. The bride wore a gown
of ivory "Margaret" brocade accented with venise lace, fichu neckline, long
sleeves, fitted bodice overlaid with sequin appliques, antebellum waist, full
floor length skirt and back bow. A wreath style headpiece had satin rosebuds
and rosettes, pearl peps, beaded and sequined leaves; waist length small
pouff. She carried a waterfall style bouquet of rubrum lilies, pink cala
lilies, ivory magnolia, plum freesia, mauve bell flower and plumosis fern. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley R. Shull of Staunton, Va. She is
a graduate of Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Professional Nursing and
Radford University. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial Hospital
Emergency/Trauma Unit. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer D. Duff of
Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring High School and the College of Health
Sciences. He is employed by Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department. The
newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
