JANNEY-DILLON
Barbara A. Dillon and Timothy C. Janney were married February 8, 1992, in
Grace United Methodist Church. Rev. Emory Tarpley performed the ceremony. The
reception was held in the church Fellowship Hall. The bride was given in
marriage by her uncle, Stephen E. Dillon. The ceremony was dedicated in memory
of the couple's grandfathers, Willie L. Dillon and Quentin A. Gobble. The maid
of honor was Monica Lynn Cuddy. Bridesmaids were Marie Broderick, cousin of
the bride, Carey Saul, Rhonda Fisher, and Susan Harrison. Flowergirl was Lora
Christine Akers, niece of the bride. The best man was Richard C. Janney,
father of the groom. Ushers were Mark Janney, brother of the groom, Jay
Shaver, Tracy Taylor, and Roger Daugherty, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was
Derek Janney, the groom's son. The guestbook was attended by April Walton. The
bride's gown had a sweetheart neckline accented by seed pearls, simulated
pearls, and iridescent sequins and a beaded, sequined and lace fitted bodice
with a basque waistline. The entire skirt was accented with schiffli lace and
pearl and sequined appliques that flowed into a cathedral length train. She
carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations accented with purple statice.
The bride is a daughter of Harold L. Dillon and Marian Bruce, of Roanoke. She
is employed by Rack Room Shoes. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Janney, of Roanoke. He is employed by Midas Muffler & Brake Shop. After a
wedding trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
