EARHART ANNIVERSARY

Jay and Elmyra Earhart, of Vinton, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner held in their honor. The celebration was hosted by their family.

The couple was married on January 31, 1942, in Wytheville, Virginia. Mrs. Earhart is the former Elmyra Callahan, of Wytheville, and is a homemaker. Mr. Earhart, also originally from Wytheville, is retired from Associated Transport.

They have been residents of Vinton for nearly 40 years and are faithful members of Midland Baptist Church. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
