WHEELER, HULDAH T.

Huldah Tyler Wheeler, 94, of Route 1, died Saturday, February 8, 1992 in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on June 27, 1897, a daughter of the late Charlie Reaves Tyler and Lenna Theora Waldron Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Griffin Wheeler and a daughter, Lenna W. Richardson. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Reaves E. Wheeler, Blue Ridge; five daughters, Janie W. Kirby, Thaxton; Sibyl W. Harkrader, Collinsville; Charlotte W. Secrest, Vinton; Ester G. Bowyer, Blue Ridge; Marjorie W. Henritze, Charlottesville; two sisters, Belva T. St. Clair, Roanoke; Gazelle T. Gross, Vinton; twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 10, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Roy S. Whitescarver and Johnny Basham officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
