SPICER, ROBERT A.

Robert Allen Spicer, age 85 of 1615 Peppers Ferry Road, died Saturday, February 8, 1992 in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael John Dickerson of Floyd and is survived by his wife, Lois D. Spicer; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Devota Spicer, Bobby and Charlton Cromer, all of Chrisitiansburg; Eunice and Julius Dickerson, Floyd; a granddaughter, Mary Caitlin Dickerson, Floyd; a halfbrother, Milbourne Spicer, Richmond; two halfsisters, Lelia Pollard, Flossie Duty, both of Richmond. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sonny Furrows and Rev. Bobby Sutphin with burial in the Belmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Edgemont Christian Church or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, both in care of the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Drawer 825, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Friends may call anytime after 12:00 noon Sunday and the family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Masonic Rites will be held at the gravesite. Arrangements by Richardson-Horne.
