GROSS, CLEO G., SR.

Cleo Gilbert Gross Sr., age 64, of Salem died Saturday. He was the former owner and manager of the Union 76 Station on Roanoke Boulevard and was a charter member of the Bent Mountain Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Eilene Kirby Gross; daughters, Beverly Bishop, Roanoke; Audrey Jones, Richmond; son, Gil Gross, Roanoke; mother, Gertrude Gross Thurman, Roanoke; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. John Hartwig with burial in Fair View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Fort Lewis Rescue Squad or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
