DRUG TASK FORCE RAIDS PULASKI HOME

The Pulaski County Drug Task Force seized various suspected drugs and 30 weapons after serving a search warrant Sunday evening at a Pulaski home.

An investigation is continuing while authorities await the results of a laboratory analysis on the suspected drugs, Lt. Barry Buckner of the Pulaski Police Department said Tuesday. The guns were of various calibers and included rifles, shotguns and pistols, Buckner said.

Buckner said the task force went to the house after obtaining a search warrant based on probable cause that drugs were stored there for distribution.

The Pulaski County Drug Task Force is made up of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Pulaski and Dublin town police, Virginia State Police and the Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Board enforcement division. Other members from the various departments and the state police narcotics dog and handler also assisted in the search.
