TOWN AND COUNTRY GARDEN CLUB MEETS
"There Is a Mushroom in Your Yard" was discussed at the February meeting of the Town and Country Garden Club.The slide and lecture presentation was given by Hope Miller, who said mushrooms can be found throughout the world, including remote areas such as the desert and the Arctic.
The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Evelyn Sanders.
New officers re-elected for 1992-93 are: Mary Cooke, president; Mrs. J.W. Viers, vice president; Mrs. B.C. Horne, secretary; and Mrs. Sanders, treasurer.
The annual Horticulture Award was given to Mrs. E.B. Hale. The Artistic Award was presented to Mrs. Horne.
A blue ribbon for an assigned artistic design went to Mrs. S.D. Barranco and Mrs. C. Hardy Long received a blue ribbon in horticulture for a multiflowered amaryllis Queens Bouquet.
