SHARE VIRGINIA EXPANDS TO MCCOY
SHARE Virginia, a self-help food distribution program, has expanded with a new host organization in the Longshop-McCoy area of Montgomery County.
The Longshop-McCoy Ruritan Club will distribute food at the Community Christian Church in McCoy each month.
The program, which is open to everyone, allows participants to pay $13 plus tax and two hours of community service for food valued at roughly $35, which includes meats, fruit, vegetables and staple items. The food is then distributed to participants by local host organizations.
