FLORA, ORA M.

Ora Mae Flora, age 86, died February 10, 1992 at the Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Berkeley Thomas Flora and Rosa Belle Montgomery Flora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Parker Flora and her daughter, Barbara Mae Flora. She was a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth Unviersity and was a retired school teacher from Henrico County Schools. She was a member of the Antioch Church of the Brethren. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert M. and Evelyn Flora of BelleMead, New Jersey; Earle P. and Gladys Flora of Glade Hill, Va.; a sister and brother-in-law; M. Elizabeth and Julian Ikenberry of Boones Mill, Va.; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Beatrice Mildred Flora, Martha Helen Flory and Alvin Flora; six grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in The Antioch Church of the Brethren with Rev. Rebecca Baile Crouse and Rev. Kathryn Rowbotham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Antioch Church of the Brethren or Unity of Roanoke Valley Church.
