WILCHER, WILLIAM V.

William Vernon Wilcher, age 51, died Tuesday at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Va. He was born August 14, 1940 in Rockbridge County and was the son of the late Rexford L. and Naomi Lacks Wilcher. Surviving are his wife, Joyce W. Wilcher, Natural Bridge Station; three daughters, Carolyn Breeden, Sheril Jones, both of Natural Bridge Station; Pamela Thompson, Natural Bridge; three brothers, Corbett A. Wilcher, Charles F. Wilcher, both of Natural Bridge Station; Douglas M. Wilcher, Kaphleen, Ga.; one sister, Doris D. Parham, Natural Bridge Station; one grandson, Stephen L. Breeden, Jr., Natural Bridge Station. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:00 from the Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Miller, Rev. Donald Stine, and Rev. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
