FAIRFAX MAY RELOCATE, NOT KILL, PARK BEAVERS
The Fairfax County Park Authority is considering relocating several beavers that have chewed up trees in a Burke park instead of killing them as originally planned."We have not made a decision. It's still an option," park authority spokeswoman Merni Fitzgerald said of moving the animals to a new home.
Moving the three or four beavers would be risky because the animals would have less time to build their winter homes, Fitzgerald said. - Associated Press
